Courage Factor

Courage Doesn't Mean You're Not Scared. It Means You're Scared To Death But You Do It Anyway!

About Linda

Hi everyone!  I’m Linda!  First I have to tell you that I am honored and humbled that you’re even here, on my page, reading this.

I started this blog after years of just “thinking about it”.

For years friends and co-workers came to me for advise on just about anything that was going on in their life.  I would happily give it to them and they would always tell me that I said something profound to them or that those words really changed their life.  But as much as I was helping them, my own life was falling apart.

I was dealing with devastating marital issues.  I wondered for a while if God was even real.  I considered being an atheist.  I felt like my life was going no where and I felt trapped.  It seemed that everyone else was pushing my buttons and I reacted to all of it.

In 2007, I decided to take CONTROL of my life.  I decided that I would finish my college education.  I decided that I had worth.  I decided that I controlled that vehicle called “Linda’s Life”.  And I decided I would not sit in the passenger seat anymore.  I decided that I really enjoyed helping others and I decided that no one could make me feel anything I did not want to feel.

Then in 2010, I experienced a devastating divorce. That experience literally brought me down to the lowest point in my life.

I don’t come from a family of successful people.  I have siblings and relatives that are currently in prison and who are drug addicts. My father was verbally abusive.  Neither one of my parents encouraged me to do anything with my life.  If anything my father made sure he reminded me daily how I would amount to nothing because I was a teenage mom.  At 17, I had my first child.  He’s 22 and I’m 39.  I’ve been divorced and In 2010, I was homeless, received services from a woman’s shelter and was on food stamps.

But the power of God is a force to be reckoned with and I’m full of gratitude and joy over it.  Today, I’m far from any of that.  I hold a bachelors degree in Psychology and I own a business called Courage Factor.  I MUST acknowledge that it was God’s mercy and love for my life that brought me through and sustained me.  Without HIM, I wouldn’t be writing this. I love my life and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!  (Thank you God for loving me so much that you gave me another chance!)

I’m not telling you to get your Courage Factor because it sounds cool.  I’m telling you to get your Courage Factor because I DIT it and YOU CAN TOO!  I have a passion for acting and living courageously.  I’m living my life out loud and on purpose and YOU CAN TOO!

I’m a real person, just like you.  I want to connect with you.  I want to inspire you.  I want to tell you that giving up is NOT an option for you.  I want to tell you that God has an amazing plan for your life.  And I want to show you just how you can unleash the Courage that is lying dormant inside you.

FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY!  It’s so much fun! It’s time to get your Courage Factor!

Go Linda! I learnt that “you first have to live with yourself before you can live with anyone else”. Keep doing your thing.

Only read the About Me part but already I feel inspired to start a company or something! You know, make it my way, something I can help create and build on, something to leave the 9 to 5 gone. That’s been my dream.

Thanks for the encouragement and positive feeling you give me.

You are AMAZING my dear Linda! I know that with God as your focus and strength that your BEST days are ahead of you! I think its great that you are choosing to help people find their own strength and light. Your story is similar to mine and I can easily see how I have always been drawn to you. Keeping you and your family in prayers. We have had some “Miracles” happen in 2011 nd been shown the power of prayers.

I hope you help many to step out of the boat and take that leap of Faith!

Hi Linda, I came across your blog at a crucial time..I am tryng to step away from a bad relationship. And yes, I need to “own” my future and overcome the obstacles in my way.

I find it inspiring that you went back to school to get your degree. How were you able to swing that financially? Will definitely return here for motivation and support!
